The plane that carried German Chancellor Angela Merkel to the G20 in Buenos Aires, departed from Berlin, had to make an emergency landing in Cologne, due to technical problems. The plane was flying over Holland when the faults were recorded, it seems to the electronic systems. This was reported by the Dpa, which also shows images of the aircraft, an Airbus 340, surrounded by firefighters at Cologne airport. A German Air Force plane will then accompany the Chancellor to Argentina.
The technical failure, which forced the plane into an emergency landing, was not the result of sabotage, a Luftwaffe spokesman said.
