In the wake of the French protest, the 'yellow vests' also marched against the expensive gasoline Taranto. The initiative, promoted by Massimiliano Stellato, municipal councilor of Taranto, saw the participation of a hundred citizens who joined the demonstration and peacefully marched through the streets of the city.
Objective: "to propose to both the Government and the Parliament to take care, as soon as possible, of the reduction in the price of fuels, which the citizens of the province of Taranto care very much since the crude oil is refined right at home".
In fact, the demonstrators propose to "recognize the same benefits at the time recognized to the citizens of the territories where the crude oil is extracted". "We will also ask to remove - they say - at least for the province of Taranto a portion dedicated to the transport of fuel since the refinery is located here".
