Aerospace: everything is ready in Pozzuoli for the International Symposium on hypersonic flight

Everything is ready at the Military Aeronautical Academy of #Pozzuoli to kick off the III International Symposium on Hypersonic Flight.

The event opens today which, organized by the Rome 2 Section of the Arma Aeronautica Association, with the support of the Air Force and the Campania Aerospace District - Dac, and with the patronage of the Ministry of Defense and Cesma, aims to that of bringing together experts and researchers from numerous countries, universities and research institutions and exchanging experiences, promoting synergies, fostering cooperation in the further development of this new technology that will project us into the future.

The main theme, therefore, is the "#personal flight" which, starting from Europe, will allow us to reach Australia in a few hours thanks to the impressive speed that can be five or more times greater than sound, thus making a wide range of applications in various sectors, from governmental ones but also commercial and security ones.

There are numerous points on the agenda which includes numerous round tables in which various experts of the sector will participate, who will discuss the numerous technological opportunities and possible national and international cooperation for the realization of common projects, in addition to discussing the technological aspects of hypersonic flight. the resources needed for their study and development.

The Symposium, which will also be attended by numerous military authorities interested in strategic developments of hypersonic flights, will open with the initial greetings of Nazzareno Cardinali, President of the Roma Due Section, Giovanni Sciandra, National President of the Arma Aeronautica Association, Enrico Degni, Commander of the Aeronautical Academy, Vincenzo Figliolia, Mayor of Pozzuoli, Antonio Marchiello, Regional Councilor for Productive Activities, Luigi Carrino, President of the Aerospace District of Campania - Dac.

Giuseppe Cornacchia, President of the Symposium, explained that "The Symposium wants to spread to the general public the awareness of the importance and relevance of hypersonic. The progress in the research and development of adequate technologies that allow atmospheric flight at very high speeds progresses and, at the same time, it is necessary to increase attention and reflection to evaluate the impact of a radical transformation of the concept of distance and time ".

Satisfaction was also expressed by Luigi Carrino, President of the DAC, who declared that "Campania is an ideal showcase for the Symposium. In fact, with its high concentration of industries, research centers and universities, it offers an important contribution to a strongly accelerating sector, with the opportunity to maintain and increase the national profile on advanced technologies and with strong repercussions on the economy. To this end, the DAC has recently activated a work group that involves a dozen companies, including large groups and small businesses, research institutes and universities and which envisages the development of possible future industrial systems to support hypersonic flight."

Tomorrow, the last day dedicated to the symposium, the participation of some high school and university students will be given a prize for their contributions to the study and development of topics related to hypersonic flight.
