The cycle of conferences on civic education, digital innovation, well-being and social cohesion starts tomorrow

A series of conferences dedicated to teacher training kicks off tomorrow in Rome, with cultural insights into current issues in the field of education, instruction and growth of young people. The initiative is promoted by Polo Formativo 2, which brings together the educational institutions of the II and IV districts of Rome, in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and Merit.

The first of the three conferences, entitled "Civic education, reflections and experiences of school and society", will be held tomorrow, starting at 16.00, in the Aula Magna of the Liceo Classico "Giulio Cesare", leader of the Polo Formativo, in Corso Trieste 48. The Hon. Paola Frassinetti, Undersecretary for Education and Merit, and Carmela Palumbo, Department Head for the Education and Training System.

Three reports of the first training session, moderated by Rocco Salemme, teacher of the classical high school "Giulio Cesare"; “Understanding to change”, by Alfonso Rubinacci, coordinator of the Scientific Committee Tuttoscuola; "The school as the ethical-political foundation of participatory democracy", by Giulio Alfano, professor of Institutions of political philosophy and delegate for the cycle of studies in Peace Sciences and international cooperation at the Pontificia Universitas Lateranensis; "Civic education at school: the current reference framework and the fundamental axes", by Maria Rosa Silvestro, technical manager at the Directorate General for regulations, evaluation and internationalization of the national education system.

The "Giulio Cesare" classical high school will intervene in the second session, bringing their testimony, on "the Constitution and the right as a foundation of legality and solidarity"; the “Falcone e Borsellino” comprehensive institute, with reference to sustainable development and environmental education; the “John von Neumann” Higher Education Institute for innovation and digital citizenship. Following, in connection with the Education Office at the Consulate General of Italy in New York, the educational and educational implications of active overseas citizenship will be illustrated.

The last session will present the speeches of Emilio Porcaro, manager of the "Eduard C. Lindeman" Metropolitan Center for Adult Education 2 of Bologna and referent of the RIDAP Network, and Anna Uttaro, professor of the Adult Education Center 1 of Rome.

The works will be concluded by Maria Urso, manager of the "Tommaso Salvini" Institute of Higher Education, and Paola Senesi, manager of the "Giulio Cesare" classical high school - Lead school of the training center of the Area 2 territorial network.

The other appointments, also scheduled in Rome, are for 23 May, from 16.00 to 19.00, at the "Amedeo Avogadro" scientific high school, in via Brenta 26, on the theme of digital innovation, and for 31 May, at the "Enzo Rossi" art school, in via del Frantoio 4, from 16.00 to 19.00, on well-being and social cohesion, sport, inclusion and food health education.

The three conferences are organized by the Training Center of the Area 2 Network, in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and Merit, the Guido Carli Association, the Vittorio Occorsio Foundation and the Sapienza University of Rome and in agreement with the Regional School Office for Lazio.
