The Carabinieri of the Operative and Radiomobile Nucleus of Colleferro have arrested two thirty-year-old foreigners, with no fixed abode, seriously suspected of aggravated theft of clothing inside a commercial activity located in the Valmontone Outlet.
According to the complaint of the owner of the business, the two men, arriving from the Roman coast, went inside a sports shop and took some clothing items displayed on the shelves, and after having removed the anti-shoplifting devices, they left the business bypassing the anti-shoplifting systems. A scene that did not escape the attention of the security personnel of the Outlet, who immediately contacted the emergency number 112, thus allowing the arrival of a patrol of the Carabinieri.
The prompt intervention of the military made it possible to trace, also thanks to the viewing of video surveillance images, the two men who were still inside the Outlet, and following a personal search the military recovered all the stolen goods, with a total value of approximately 650 euros and returned them to the owner of the shop.
For this reason, the two men were arrested and this morning the Velletri Court validated the arrest for both of them.
It is important to point out that, given the state of the proceedings, the defendants must be considered innocent until a final sentence is reached.
The operation by the Carabinieri of the Colleferro Company is part of a broader prevention plan aimed at combating thefts in commercial activities, with the qualified collaboration of the personnel in charge of security.
