On Saturday evening the Carabinieri of the Valmontone station, assisted by the soldiers of the Operational Unit of the Operational and Radiomobile Unit of the Colleferro Company, arrested three citizens, seriously suspected of aggravated theft in competition.

The three, all domiciled in the municipality of Latina, two of whom were already known to the police for their criminal affairs, stole and hid 51 items of clothing taken improperly from a well-known company in the Valmontone Outlet.

Specifically, the three allegedly hid the items of clothing in the bags, some wearing them in layers, and headed towards the exit, evading the control of the anti-shoplifting system and in particular that of the sales staff. This behavior was not lost on the outlet's internal security staff who alerted the Valmontone Carabinieri and then followed their movements. When they arrived near their car they found the Carabinieri waiting for them.

The soldiers searched the car and recovered the 51 items of clothing in the rear trunk (total value of over 5000 euros). The same were promptly returned to the store managers.

The three were immediately put in handcuffs on charges of aggravated theft in competition.

Today, the arrested people were brought before the Court of Velletri, which validated their arrest, applying the precautionary measure of the obligation to ban them from returning to the Municipality of Valmontone.
