Personnel of the Postal Police executed a European arrest warrant, issued by the German authorities and received thanks to the impulse of the International Cooperation Service of the Central Directorate of the Criminal Police, against a XNUMX-year-old Nigerian, responsible for the rape of a woman, which occurred in Germany.
In particular, on 20 July 2020, the Nigerian citizen, inside the housing for asylum seekers located in Geradstetten (Germany), entered the room of a woman, a guest of the center itself, to rape her, also causing serious injuries. personal.
The first investigations carried out by the German authorities and aimed at tracing the citizen, who fled immediately after the episode, would have allowed him to be placed on Italian territory.
In particular, in support of the report, two IP addresses were also provided extrapolated from the telephone records associated with the German mobile number used by the OO citizen, on which the investigative investigations carried out by the staff of the Postal and Communications Police Service focused.
