Last evening, the Carabinieri of the Operative and Radiomobile Nucleus of the Colleferro Company, assisted by their colleagues from the Artena Station, executed a precautionary custody order issued by the GIP of the Velletri Court, against a 43-year-old local man.
Specifically, the military intervened in Artena after a report was received by 112 of a 41-year-old man with a stab wound to the abdomen.
Immediately after the incident, the man was transported first to the Colleferro Hospital, where he reported to the Carabinieri that he had been stabbed by a foreign individual, unknown to him, following an argument. He was subsequently transferred to the Spallanzani Hospital in Rome, where he underwent two surgical operations to remove an organ. The military, based on the statements collected, had the victim view a photographic file, portraying foreign individuals corresponding to the description provided, but the 41-year-old was unable to recognize the attacker.
In the meantime, the military began a meticulous investigative activity, in collaboration with Dr. Serena Rossi of the Public Prosecutor's Office of Velletri, who then directed the military towards the 43-year-old from Artena.
The investigation continued with the analysis of the cells attached to the site of the stabbing and with the interrogation of the victim who, when cornered, declared and admitted to having been stabbed by the 43-year-old at the height of a heated argument over trivial reasons.
