A woman has reported her husband, from whom she intends to separate, for persecutory acts and mistreatment in the family and the Carabinieri of the Artena station arrested the man, a 33-year-old, unemployed, found in possession of a Benelli brand automatic rifle which was seized.

This is an illegally possessed weapon, reported stolen by a private individual in October 1992 at the Campoverde station.

The Carabinieri of the Artena station found the rifle, assisted by the soldiers of the Colleferro Company, to whom the lady had turned to report her husband, tired of the continuous mistreatment and persecutory conduct, with death threats.

After receiving the complaint, the military immediately went to the 33-year-old's house to carry out a search and found the weapon hidden in the kitchen, behind the refrigerator.

The man, who has a criminal record, gave no explanations.
