Single and Universal Allowance: payments for 5 million children have begun

INPS, in collaboration with the Bank of Italy, has begun the payments of the first month's single check for approximately 5 million beneficiary children, referring to approximately 3 million applications submitted between 1 January and 28 February 2022.

The first credits will be available to families from March 16 and payments will be completed by INPS within the current month.

Applications received from March will be paid from the month following that of presentation and, if submitted by June, will include the checks due from March.

The ISEE data not entered in the first instance will be automatically updated by INPS on the basis of the certifications acquired by users through Caf or the Revenue Agency and the relative amounts of the checks will be automatically adjusted.

Please note that the beneficiaries of Citizenship Income in possession of the necessary requirements for the single check will automatically receive on their card the amounts due for the month of March starting from April, together with the Rdc / Pdc installment.

“From today - comments the Minister for the Family Elena Bonetti - Italian families with dependent children will begin to receive the amounts of the single and universal allowance. An important day, which concretely marks a new step and redesigns the paradigm of choices in family policies. I am grateful to all those who in recent months have contributed to the realization of this project which invests in young people and reactivates, as indicated several times by President Draghi, that taste for the future necessary for Italy to restart ”.

“A great institutional collaboration - affirms the president of INPS Pasquale Tridico - has brought about the departure of the single and universal check in a short time. Activating this new tool for millions of families, allowing access with simplified procedures and with the interoperability of databases, was a challenge that the Institute has achieved at every stage with an innovative drive. It is also an important measure for an increasingly universalistic welfare system, since it embraces all families without categorical distinctions and represents an organic investment of the country for the birth rate and young people ”.
