Bologna, explosion in the ring road, a dead and wounded 40

Frightening fire, which broke out in the Borgo Panigale area of ​​Bologna caused by a tanker that exploded under the bridge of the A14 motorway, caused one death and at least 40 injuries.

For the explosion the bridge collapsed on two dealerships: Fiat and Peugeot. The cars in the pizzali were burnt with a terrifying domino effect, the explosions followed each other repetitively. Some employees of the dealerships are among the injured.

Dozens of ambulances rushed to the scene, together with firefighters, Usar (Urban search and rescue) and dog lovers. Major's emergency room has been stormed by people in need of medical assistance.

The column of smoke caused by the fire in Borgo Panigale is visible from all over the city of Bologna. The Casalecchio motorway junction was closed to traffic in both directions, as was the section on the Bologna ring road, between Bologna Casalecchio and junction 3 Ramo Verde. Traffic blocks have also been placed within the city fabric.
