Brexit, Jeremy Corby: prompt motion to discourage Theresa May

Theresa May intends to propose to the municipalities a new Brexit agreement that must be approved before the European Council scheduled for next Thursday only if the agreement does not pass, then the possible alternative is an extension of article 50 which, explains the Chancellor of the chessboard Hammond, will be voted on only if there is certain support from the Northern Irish deputies.

According to the provisions of the art, 50 "each member state may decide to withdraw from the European Union in accordance with its constitutional provisions. If it decides to do so, it must inform the European Council of its intention and negotiate an agreement on its withdrawal, establishing the legal basis for a future relationship with the European Union. The agreement must be approved by a qualified majority of member states and must have the consent of the European parliament. The negotiators have two years available from the date on which the application of the 50 article is requested to conclude an agreement, but this term can be extended. If at a later date the state that has left the Union wants to re-enter it, it must restart admission procedures".

After the last vote last week, a significant number of deputies, including some who had also spoken out publicly, have changed their minds and have decided that the alternatives are poor and are convinced that the agreement proposed by the Prime Minister is the best for resolve the Brexit issue.

Jeremy Corbyn, Labor leader, runs for cover and has a motion ready to challenge the government, convinced that May's strategy will not work. According to Corbyn the government will demand that the parliament votes for a new agreement next week but it is almost certain that the agreement will not pass. If Corbyn's predictions come true the Labor leader thinks it will be necessary to present a no-confidence motion asking for new elections so that the citizens themselves can decide the deaf in the country.
