Last Friday, in Carpineto Romano (RM), the Carabinieri of the Carpineto Romano station assisted by the Carabinieri of the Operational Unit of the Operational and Radiomobile Unit of the Colleferro Company, at the conclusion of an investigation, arrested a 33-year-old, already known to the police, seriously suspected of the crime of attempted murder.
Last Thursday evening, the man had invited a 31-year-old homeless compatriot into his apartment, promising her the sum of 100 euros to spend the night together. Subsequently, upon receiving the 31-year-old's refusal to have sexual intercourse, the man first physically attacked her, then threatened her with death and finally attempted to throw her from the balcony of the house with the intention of causing her to fall from the second floor.
The timely intervention of the Carabinieri and that of a nearby compatriot allowed access to the interior of the apartment, after forcing the door, and secured the woman who was promptly transported by the 118 staff to the Colleferro Hospital, receiving a prognosis of 5 days and subsequently accompanied to an Anti-Violence Center in the province of Rome.
For this reason, the 33-year-old, in agreement with the Public Prosecutor's Office, was arrested and taken to Velletri prison. Yesterday morning, the Veliterno GIP validated the arrest and ordered custody in prison, awaiting trial.
