On October 20, a woman went to the Carabinieri Station in Carpineto Romano to report her husband, from whom she was separating, for stalking and mistreatment in the family. Yesterday afternoon, at the end of the investigations carried out by the military, the investigating judge of the Velletri Court, Dr. Catena, issued a precautionary custody order in prison and the doors of the Velletrano prison were opened for a 49-year-old man from Carpineto Romano.
The story stems from the man's abusive behavior which, according to the woman's complaint, began over ten years ago.
These are attitudes considered demeaning, slaps, pushes, shouting and above all constant control over the money spent.
The real problems begin when the woman becomes aware of her husband's exasperating behavior and communicates her intentions to him, and then leaves the house to move with her daughter to her parents' house.
From that moment on, the 49-year-old, not accepting the end of the relationship, allegedly carried out a real persecution against the woman with car rides under the house and threats both in person and with phone calls and voice messages.
The Carabinieri acquired the messages, questioned the witnesses, to whom the disturbed woman had told about her husband's persecutory behavior and promptly reported it to the Public Prosecutor's Office.
The fight against crimes within the family, and related episodes of gender violence, is pursued daily by the Carabinieri of the Colleferro Company with the adoption of measures, in agreement with the Judicial Authority, rapid and effective for the safety of women and minors who are victims of aggressive behavior carried out by cohabitants.
The accused is, of course, to be considered presumed innocent in light of the current stage of the proceedings until a definitive determination of guilt with an irrevocable sentence.
