Turned in the Cucchi case, the beatings are verified, but died for precarious health conditions

Francesco Tedesco, one of the five military defendants would have confessed what happened during and after the stages of Cucchi's arrest, indicating as the authors of the beating the colleagues Alessio Di Bernardo e Raffaele D'Alessandro, accused with German of manslaughter and abuse of authority and saying that the sergeant Roberto Mandolini and the carabiniere Vincenzo Nicolardi they were aware of what happened.

During a new hearing of the trial on the death of Stefano Cucchi a new incongruity had emerged: a record of service written by one of the accused carabinieri, Francesco Tedesco, the day of Cucchi's death and sent by him to the Appia dei Carabinieri station disappeared in nothing. The document "absolutely important for the reconstruction of the facts, has been subtracted" and there is no more traces, explained the courtroom Giovanni Musarò.

"What is emerging in this process, and at the end of this process, is disturbing". So the lawyer Fabio Anselmo, a lawyer for the civil part of the family of Stefano Cucchi, made his debut in the hearing of the 25 last January before the first Court of Assizes of Rome.

"Apart from the fact that the screening activities have continued over time and even in the investigation phase that led to this process, the fact that these events also occur today, during a so complex and delicate trial investigation, it is of unprecedented gravity. So I express - concluded Anselmo - the regret of the family in the face of the repetition of these illicit pressures".

"I invite the Court to reappropriate its powers - the lawyer Giosuè Naso intervened, defender of the marshal Roberto Mandolini, accused of fakes and slander - I remember that this process is aimed at determining if Cucchi died for the beatings that would have been inflicted by the carabinieri, all the rest is fuffa".

THE SCENE

The outcome of the forensic medical examination ordered by the Second Court of Appeal of Rome  ILFORMAT.INFO. It is dated 7 March 2019 the appraisal ordered on 29 October 2018 by the President of the first criminal section of the Court of Appeal of Rome, Dr. Tommaso Picazio.

The conclusions of the report show that Stefano Cucchi would have died from previous health conditions.

Another important element is part of the complex judicial framework. The recent medical-legal report clarifies, once and for all, the medical and health conditions of the young Stefano Cucchi. It was already known that the young man's conditions were precarious, now ascertaining that the cause of death is to be pointed out precisely to the health conditions provides the judges with further elements. What is certain is that the beatings were there and those who committed them must be judged for the deplorable actions committed.

The whole story is characterized by many dark points. The fact that Stefano Cucchi died from poor health is incontrovertible, but a contributing cause can also be found in the alleged beatings. The point is that a series of "critical" situations met that "cursed" night.
