Cell Phones and Cancer: There is a link between cell radiation and cancer

The response from a research by the US National Toxicology Program after a study on mice, promoted by the Clinton administration.

(by Giovanni D'Agata) To demonstrate the link between cell phones and the development of cancer, researchers from the US National Toxicology Program studied the effects of radio waves on mice. According to the findings, there is evidence, albeit "relatively modest", that radio waves from some types of older generation cell phones increase the risk of brain cancer, at least in male mice. According to the explanations of Dr. John Bucher, one of the scientists who worked on the program, the link between radio frequency radiation and tumors in male mice is real. The researcher stressed, however, that the levels of exposure to which the mice were subjected cannot be compared with those of those who use a telephone, far lower. Costing $ 30 million, the research was conducted on approximately 3.000 rodents and is the largest experiment of its kind ever carried out in the world.

Giovanni D'Agata, president of the "Rights Desk", recalls that seven years ago, the World Health Organization, through its International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC), had raised the alert level on the use of mobile phones. While in 2012 it issued a document with which it stated that "it was not possible to demonstrate an increase in the risk of brain cancer", however in 2011, it included frequency electromagnetic fields in the list of the most carcinogenic factors, defining them "as possibly carcinogenic ". In other words, it has put the cell phone on the same level with petrol vapors. That is, “level 2B”, one of the five WHO classification levels for carcinogenic substances. Furthermore, it should be noted that the study, promoted by the Clinton administration, does not include the latest generation smartphones.
