The Carabinieri of the Compagnia di Colleferro arrested an Italian 43enne, already known to the police, on charges of holding a clandestine weapon. The soldiers of the Labico Station, supported by those of the local Station, employed in the usual road traffic checks, stopped the car driven by the 43enne for a check, finding it in possession of two iron bars and various burglary tools.
From the outset, however, the Carabinieri noted the strange attitude of the motorist, who appeared particularly nervous: at that point the soldiers, suspicious, continued the investigations at his home in Valmontone where, in the closet of his bedroom, hid a pistol with a serial number abraded 6,35 caliber with a magazine and two bullets.
Arrested, he was taken to the Velletri prison at the disposal of the judicial authorities.
