The Municipality of Colleferro, through its urban hygiene management company, Minerva, resumes the direct management of the landfill after the management of Lazio Environment, which lasted almost ten years, with the aim of creating the so-called "capping"Of the landfill now closed.
In addition to managing the environmental safeguards necessary for the correct management of the landfill, all the improvements that can be used to ensure that the site is returned to the community with any uses even more important than just the cover will be made.
All this will take place in full compliance with environmental regulations, according to the will of the administration and citizens who want the landfill to no longer be used to deliver waste.
Thanks, the Municipality writes in a note, goes to all the technicians who worked to make this possible and in particular to the liquidator of Lazio Ambiente, Marino Venditti, to the president of Minerva, Alessio Ciacci, and to the new director of Minerva, Massimiliano Maximum.
Further thanks go to the Lazio Region which will guarantee the economic resources necessary to first develop the transitional phase, which starts now and will end with the realization of the definitive capping project, and the consequent authorization following which, again thanks to regional funds, the actual capping was carried out, as foreseen by this new project.
