Yesterday, two families made up of eight people, 4 adults and 4 boys, aged 6 to 48, left Rome for an excursion to the Monti Lepini, to explore Mount Evervisa, have lost their orientation and are not managed to retrace the path that would bring them back to the starting point and to their cars, they were traced in the evening by the Carabinieri of the Compagnia di Colleferro.
The excursion amateurs, who left the Pian della Faggeta area around 09 am - in the territory of Carpineto Romano - lost their orientation and at the following 18 they contacted 112 for help. After the call received at the Compagnia Carabinieri operational center in Colleferro, the soldiers of the local station started the rescue machine.
The Carabinieri of the Carpineto Romano Station, thanks to their knowledge of the Lepini Mountains area, at 22 pm, managed to understand the position they were in and track them down to about 1300 meters.
Frightened, but fortunately all unharmed, the families were transported to the Carabinieri station and accompanied to their cars.
