The joint working table between the Ministry of Education (MI) and the Italian Episcopal Conference (CEI) has started for the study of the various issues concerning the teaching of Catholic Religion and for the definition of the agreement on the next competition for Religion teachers required by the school decree approved last December.
This morning the first meeting, which took place in an atmosphere of absolute collaboration, in the presence of representatives of the Ministry and the Episcopal Conference. The table is chaired by Dr. Lucrezia Stellacci, adviser to Minister Lucia Azzolina.
The competition will be announced by 2020. However, it must be preceded, as required by the December decree, by an agreement between MI and CEI.
The table will follow the course of the agreement with the aim of closing it in a short time and then proceeding with the drafting of the notice. This will allow the Ministry to proceed with the issuance of the competition notice within the time foreseen to cover the places for the teaching of Catholic Religion which will be vacant and available over the next three years. Without prejudice to the provisions of the decree of December regarding the scrolling of the general rankings of merit of the previous competition.
