Coronavirus, IMMUN APP. Gambino, IAIC: "Virtuous application, grandchildren help grandparents to install it"

"We have chosen an app that requires the necessary collaboration of citizenship, otherwise it will be useless: it is a proof of maturity, we will see if we will be able to give up a piece of freedom for the common good ". This was stated in a note on prof. adv. Alberto Gambino, president ofItalian Academy of the Internet Code (IAIC), deputy jurist vice-rector of the European University of Rome.

"The application - adds the jurist - seems to comply with the dictates of privacy, as it can only be installed on a voluntary basis, both for the purposes of its tracking, and for the purpose of verifying infected subjects, with respect to which it makes their identity data anonymous ". "Just for this though - specifies the president of the Italian Academy - if the application is not downloaded by the majority of citizens, and not only those residing in the territories most affected by the Covid-19 virus, the consequence will be that the chances of contagion will remain high ". "In order to prevent the news of the application that secures citizenship even ends up being misleading - concludes prof. Gambino - virtuous behaviors of entire sections of the population will then be needed and in this, young digital natives may also be useful in helping older and more fragile people to install them, in a virtuous act of intergenerational solidarity".
