Coronavirus: Confirmed downward trend of currently positive

The Department continues its efforts in coordinating all the components and operating structures of the National Civil Protection Service.

In particular, in the field of health monitoring relating to the spread of Coronavirus on our territory, to date, May 26, the total number of people who have contracted the virus is 230.555, with an increase compared to yesterday of 397 new cases.

The total number of currently positive is 52.942, with a decrease of 2.358 clients compared to yesterday.

Among the currently positive, 521 are being treated in intensive care, with a decrease of 20 patients compared to yesterday.

7.917 people are hospitalized with symptoms, a decrease of 268 patients compared to yesterday.

44.504 people, equal to 84% of the currently positive, are in isolation without symptoms or with mild symptoms.

Compared to yesterday, 78 died and bring the total to 32.955. The overall number of those discharged and recovered rises to 144.658, with an increase of 2.677 people compared to yesterday.

In detail, the currently positive cases are 24.477 in Lombardy, 6.941 in Piedmont, 4.146 in Emilia-Romagna, 2.431 in Veneto, 1.522 in Tuscany, 1.438 ​​in Liguria, 3.538 in Lazio, 1.575 in the Marche, 1.184 in Campania, 1.539 in Puglia, 513 in the Autonomous Province of Trento, 1.430 in Sicily, 375 in Friuli Venezia Giulia, 909 in Abruzzo, 179 in the Autonomous Province of Bolzano, 42 in Umbria, 224 in Sardinia, 31 in Valle d'Aosta, 238 in Calabria, 174 in Molise and 36 in Basilicata.
