Coronavirus: "Masks, only salvation, yet ..."

Government totally inadequate and unprepared but you cannot joke on people's skin. Professionalism is needed.

(by John Blackeye) For days we have been doing nothing but witness a continuous chanting by the institutions and also by the doctors who take turns on national TV to launch, rightly, non-alarmist messages. However, if the messages are contrary to the basic criteria for containing the disease, perhaps someone should point this out.

The invitation we listen to all the time is to not use masks because they are not needed. So as an average Italian with medium intelligence one can make an argument.

If everyone wears masks - I repeat if everyone wears masks - who has the virus does not pass it, who does not have it does not receive it. Quite right? Do we need to have a medical degree to come to this simple conclusion? Why advise the opposite? That is why not recommend the use of masks?

The principle seems to be a childish logic that even elementary school children could share the concept.

Due to the lack of masks on the market - due to the now chronic absence of Italian production activities that have been spent on the Chinese territory for years due to economic speculation - and instead of setting up a Task Force that can immediately start the production of as many masks as there are requires the need, the political and medical allologists take turns on TV to say that masks are not needed. According to medical criteria that are not better identified, they would only be used by those with Coronavirus to prevent the virus from being passed on to someone close by with a sneeze or a cough. So, according to the doctors repeatedly interviewed on TV and according to the TG that orient themselves where the wind blows, the masks would be used only for patients who are aware of having coronavirus.

Question: but who is aware of having the coronavirus goes around on the subway or train or to shopping malls to deal with their belongings, is I locked in an infectious ward of one of the many hospitals that are trying to manage this emergency?

So where is the problem and inconsistency in the claims of doctors, politicians and the media? The problem is that something wrong is being suggested to the Italians, in my humble opinion, and that it goes in the opposite direction to that of contagion containment. That is, the masks are needed and they should all be worn, all without distinction.

Many infected people do not yet know that they are infected, both because sometimes the disease is asymptomatic and because they have not yet manifested the symptoms that will then lead them to hospitalization in quarantine. Unfortunately, these people are free to transmit the virus to anyone, with the mask this risk of contagion would be reduced.

So if everyone uses the mask - who has the virus does not pass it and who does not have it is protected.

Why advise the opposite? The common message that is constantly passing on in the media is to remain calm because you don't need masks. But is this an invitation to suicide too or is it extreme incompetence on the part of those who are managing the emergency at the national and local summit level?
