Minister De Micheli: “Two spans of the viaduct between Castellavazzo and Galleria Termine, in Longarone, were launched this week. Important work for improving road conditions "

The activities of Anas (FS Italiane Group) planned as part of the extraordinary plan to upgrade the road network for the Cortina 2021 World Ski Championships continue unabated, coordinated by the Government Commissioner and President of Anas Claudio Andrea Gemme, who today the progress of the works was presented to the Minister of Infrastructure and Transport, Paola De Micheli.

 “This week - said Minister Paola De Micheli - Anas has launched two spans of the new bridge between Castellavazzo and Galleria Termine, in the municipality of Longarone, in the province of Belluno. These are important works aimed at improving the viability along a particularly tortuous stretch of the existing route, with a view to enhancing the mobility standards of the artery ”. 

The intervention, carried out thanks to the use of large cranes, necessary to launch the two corten steel spans of about 30 meters each, is part of the performance and functional improvement project of the roadway in the stretch between km 49,600 and 53,570 of the state road 51 and provides for the planimetric rectification with widening of the roadway through the construction of three viaducts for a total of eight spans. 

The activities will continue in the coming days with the launch of the third span and the construction of the road package on the deck.

As regards the overall state of progress, of the 49 interventions for the adjustment and safety of state road 51 "Alemagna", for a total value of 92,8 million, 25 have been completed, 22 are in progress and 2 are soon to be start. As regards the interventions on the 51 bis “Alemagna” and 52 “Carnica” state roads, worth about 30 million euros, 21 interventions are in progress, 1 soon to be started and 3 in the planning phase.
