Covid-19: ABI and unions sign agreement to use the Solidarity Fund

ABI and union organizations Fabi, First-Cisl, Fisac-Cgil, Uilca, Unisin have today signed the agreement for the use of the ordinary services of the sector Solidarity Fund for the management of the reduction of working activity linked to the spread of the virus. Covid-19 in light of the support measures introduced with the "Cura Italia".

The women and men who work in the bank are facing with great responsibility the commitment to guarantee services in support of families and businesses in this emergency phase, in this regard they have been defined in the Protocol of 16 March 2020, integrated into 24 March 2020, the shared prevention measures to ensure the protection of their health and customers.

The Parties have today jointly identified the measures to avoid that the reduction in activity due to the epidemiological spread from COVID-19 could have a negative impact on the income of colleagues.

Following the commitment made in the aforementioned Protocol of 16 March 2020 of a comparison in the light of the new legislative framework of reference, the agreement between ABI and Trade Unions for the use of the ordinary services of the sector Solidarity Fund with integration up to the income received in service is therefore aimed at avoiding that the persons affected by the suspensions may suffer repercussions on the remuneration plan.

“Today's agreement minutes - affirms Salvatore Poloni, Chairman of the Committee for Trade Union and Labor Affairs of ABI - confirms the common will of ABI and the banking sector unions to manage every phase of the emergency in a shared and constructive way, with priority attention to the people who work and to create the conditions to guarantee support for the country's economy, also with a view to restarting production activities ".
