Covid-19 scandal, China and WHO have hidden: "376 thousand dead on conscience"

(by Francesco Matera) The agency Associated Press, yesterday, he published on his website a series of documents of the World Health Organization, referring to last January, when the director Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus  he openly praised the cooperation of the Chinese in the exchange of information.

In secret, however, the Organization's officials were very concerned about the delays and reticence of their leaders in communicating the truth to the world. On the conscience of the WHO and China leaders there would be 376 thousand deaths from Covid-19, worldwide. Data destined to increase in the coming days.

The scandal was revealed by the recordings, emails and internal documents of the WHO that demonstrate the strict control-censorship of the Chinese health authorities on research laboratories. Faced with scientific evidence, the Chinese authorities have delayed communicating the seriousness of the situation to the world.

The "Messenger" reports some internal WHO messages. "We know too little, it is not enough for us to plan”We hear Maria Van Kerkhove on 6 January, today technical director for WHO for Covid-19.

"We find ourselves having the data a quarter of an hour before they are announced on the Chinese news”Comments Gauden Galea, the highest WHO official in China, also in early January.

Around 10 January, Michael Ryan, WHO chief of health emergencies, accused China of not collaborating as other countries do and of specifying that Congo had fortunately cooperated much more in the face of the Ebola epidemic.

China has delayed in communicating the genome sequence of the new coronavirus, already isolated on December 27 last from the private laboratory Vision Medicals, data confirmed by three other laboratories, pity that on January 3 the Chinese authorities ordered to destroy the samples and data of the laboratories.

On January 9, the first victim in Wuhan, a 61-year-old, confirmed by the authorities only two days later.

The documents, now no longer secret, therefore demonstrate the conspiratorial subjugation of a part of the WHO top to the Chinese government. The first to react was the American President, Donald Trump, who has always been a supporter of the fact that the virus was the result of a Chinese laboratory experiment. A few days ago he also announced the US withdrawal from the WHO by no longer sending American funds.

From Beijing Liu Mingzhu of the National Health Commission is categorical: "Since the beginning of the epidemic, we have shared information with the WHO and with the international community in an open, transparent and responsible way".

Meanwhile, China moves on like a train. He announced that Wuhan is a clean city, after carrying out 10 million tests, zero sick people and three hundred positive but asymptomatic cases emerged.

Chinese funding to WHO

"We have acted transparently, we have provided all the information as quickly as possible. We shared our experience unreservedly. We did everything in our power to assist the countries that needed it". That's what the Chinese president said, Xi Jinping, speaking at the 73rd annual WHO assembly. "It will take a thorough investigation of Covid-19 Xi said again - based on science and performed professionally, but only when the emergency is under control". In the same meeting, the Chinese president announced that his country would donate "$ 2 billion "to WHO to fight Coronavirus and that if Beijing were to find a vaccine against Covid-19 it would make it" a worldwide public good". But also last April, China announced a donation of another 30 million dollars to the WHO, following another donation of 20 million dollars in March.

WHO director and China

World Health Organization (WHO) Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus for Trump and his international allies is in all respects a man from Beijing, as evidenced by his overconfidence in the ability of the Chinese authorities to manage the crisis in its phases initials. On the other hand, the Chinese authorities raised their shields in defense of the WHO number one who, in the words of the spokesman for the Beijing Foreign Ministry Zhao Lijian, "has done its duty by maintaining an impartial, objective and science-based position ".

Born in 1965 in Asmara, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus graduated in Biology in 1986 and then obtained his specialist degree in Immunology of infectious diseases from the University of London School of Hygiene and Tropical Diseases in 1992 and his Ph.D. in 2000 at Nottingham University. From 2005 to 2012 Tedros was Minister of Health, a period during which the country distinguished itself above all for the progress made in the fight against infant mortality, and in July 2009 he was elected for two years to the presidency of the Global Fund for the fight against 'AIDS, tuberculosis and malaria and then held the position of Foreign Minister, from 2012 to 2016, before being elected Director General of the World Health Organization (WHO) on 23 May 2017, the first African in history.

The prestigious scientific journal "The Lancet" has labeled it with the derogatory name of "general dictator". And it is not surprising that Mugabe himself - the current president of the African Union at the time - pushed for Tedros to be designated as African candidate for WHO leadership. It is no mystery, moreover, that the current director of the WHO represents a country, Ethiopia, which is part (like Zimbabwe) of that block of African countries that have very close ties to China.

In fact, about half of the Ethiopian external debt is held by China, which about a year ago agreed to renegotiate its terms with Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed, nominated Nobel Peace Prize in October.
