Italian art, wooden works of art by Galart

During the summer period in the tourist resorts we often come across markets where Italian artisans exhibit their works, their works. Each of them expresses, in every created object, originality and above all exclusivity. Each piece is not the same as another. Each piece is unique and has a story to itself as if to express the feeling and the mood of the author. Paintings, sculptures, leather, ceramics, embroidery in crochet, antique furniture and much more that recall the craftsmanship of Italy from the North to the South.

Then you come across something new and original never seen before, the works of Gabriele and Lara, of Galart. Wooden paintings. Well, one would say, what's new? The play of colors and the heights of the various wooden pieces placed side by side in a harmonious way, give the image of the painting an almost three-dimensional effect, unique, with sweet and gentle forms. The work essentially caresses you and transports you inside the image with all your senses, because the natural beauty of the wood grain, then finely colored and drawn, envelops your mind in memories of the past, those experienced as a child. The representations of the works are of rural landscapes, of Italian cities, of children playing, of flowers, colors, cute animals, historic districts of Naples, of Vesuvius, or simply of a woman hanging out the laundry with her little girl. They are typical representations of Italian daily life.

The paintings presented are made with two techniques.

Fretwork processing: different thicknesses are used to obtain a high relief effect that makes the object almost three-dimensional.

Engraving work: this process is not a simple painting, in fact before coloring the picture is engraved and at the end stuccoed in the engraving, this, together with the lateral processing, gives the whole greater depth and perspective view.

Galart, therefore it produces beautiful paintings and other wooden objects in a completely handmade way and there is no series production. Each item is unique.
