These are the words of Piero Bonamico, protagonist of 87 years of the documentary "Il resoluto" by Giovanni Donfrancesco, commenting on the fate of Mussolini's treasure, the famous and nowhere to be found "Dongo gold". The documentary film will have its world premiere tomorrow at the Giornate degli Autori as part of the Venice Film Festival. Bonamico, recruited in the Decima Mas at the age of 14, tells the director Donfrancesco after 70 years of silence and claims to have personally participated in hiding the famous “Dongo's gold”, that is the treasure of Mussolini in the last days of the Duce's life. A new and unprecedented testimony that sheds new light on a historical fact that has always been debated. “They were 5 large suitcases, dark leather with straps, beautiful but heavy. I've never seen anything like it ”. Piero, in the documentary, says that while he was taking them to Lake Como “the suitcases were full of copies of the Corriere dei Piccoli”. They were brought to Mussolini's residence on April 22, 1945 and exchanged for five other identical suitcases containing the treasure.
