Matteo Salvini expresses satisfaction and optimism at the end of the tripartite event which took place in Innsbruck, which saw Italian, Berlin and Vienna interior ministers meeting to talk about the migrant emergency.
An agreement with three, an "axis of willingness" led by Austria, Germany and Italy. This is how Salvini summarized the agreement reached during the meeting.
The Minister of the Interior Salvini then added that it is an agreement that has as its main objective to curb the departures of migrants and landings, so as to have fewer deaths at sea and to bring to Europe only those who actually flees from a war.
"Italian proposals on migrants become European proposals: we hope that Europe will finally return to defending the borders and the right and the security of the 500 millions of Europeans. Less migrants, fewer landings and less deaths.
The words of Seehofer, German Minister for the Interior, have the same tone: "European solutions must lead us to success, we must be strong and protect the European borders, but also be humanitarian. We must create centers outside the external borders of Europe ".
