A girl of 12 years in imminent danger of life was transported urgently this morning from Reggio Calabria to Rome-Ciampino with a Falcon 900 aircraft of the 31 ° Flock of Military Air Force to be admitted to the pediatric hospital "Child Jesus "in Rome.
The request for transport, as happens in these cases, was received by the Prefecture of Reggio Calabria at the Situation Room at the Summit of the Command of the Air Squad, the operations room of the Air Force which has among its tasks to organize and manage this kind of transport throughout the national territory in coordination with the Prefectures.
The Summit Situation Room then activated a Falcon 900, one of the arrangements that the Armed Forces ready 24 hours on 24 for this kind of need. Taken off in the morning at Ciampino Airport, home of the 31 ° Stormo, in Reggio Calabria, the aircraft embarked on the patient with a medical team for assistance during the flight.
From the Calabrian city, the plane landed after about an hour of flight to Rome-Ciampino airport, where the girl was transported to ambulance.
