Iveco-Ival plant example of successful industrial cooperation

The Ival-Iveco factory represents "an example of the success of the Algerian-Italian industrial cooperation in the automotive sector".

This is what the Italian embassy reported on its Twitter profile on the occasion of the visit of the Italian ambassador to Algiers, Pasquale Ferrara, at the production site in the city of Ouled Haddadj Boumerdes (east of Algiers). Also present was Mohamed Bairi, general manager of Ival, who confirmed the company's willingness to expand cooperation with Iveco to maintain a leadership position in the local commercial vehicle market.

The plant covers an area of 3.000 square meters, half of which is dedicated to assembly and the other half to the reception and storage of production. The Ouled Hadadj plant produces Daily-Iveco vehicles with a gross weight of between 3,5 and 7 tons. The plant has a production capacity of up to three vehicles per day (or 650 to 700 vehicles per year).

Bairi also announced the imminent opening of a new assembly plant of the Ival-Ivec brand in Bouira, south-east of Algiers.
