Eni: signed Memorandum of Understanding with Pertamina

Eni and the Indonesian company PT PERTAMINA (Persero) yesterday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in Porto Marghera, at Eni's biorefinery, which further expands the partnership between the two companies, also extending to the scope of biorefining.

The parties also agreed to jointly assess a number of opportunities across the entire energy production and marketing chain.

The MoU represents a further step forward in the strategy of strengthening Eni's presence in the Far East, which aims to seize new business opportunities, particularly in the downstream sector, leveraging its leadership in the conversion of traditional plants into cutting-edge biorefining plants and in their operational management.

Eni is present in Indonesia from 2001 with exploration and production activities. The company's current production in the country derives from the Maura Bakau Block (55% Eni), where the Jangkrik field was started up in 2017.
