INPS, discloses the data related to the Precariousness

INPS informs that the data from the Observatory on Precariousness have been updated to July 2018.

THE DYNAMICS OF FLOWS

Overall, the assumptions, referring only to private employers, in the period January-July 2018 were 4.597.000: they increased by 6,5% compared to the same period of the 2017. All components are growing: permanent contracts + 1,8%, fixed-term contracts + 6,0%, apprenticeship contracts + 11,8%, seasonal contracts + 3,3%, contracts in administration + 13,5% and intermittent contracts + 6,8%.

In the first seven months of the year, the increase in long-term fixed-term transformations (+ 101.000) was confirmed, which recorded a very strong increase compared to the January-July period 2017 (+ 59,0%). In the period January-July 2018 contracted the apprenticeships confirmed at the end of the training period (-18,2%).

The total terminations were 3.560.000, increasing compared to the previous year (+ 10,7%): the number of terminations of all types of forward contracts increased, above all intermittent contracts and in administration, while those of permanent contracts decreased. (-4,5%).

During the first seven months of the 2018, 70.297 working relationships were promoted with the benefits envisaged by the three-year structural exemption for the activation of open-ended contracts for young people (Law 202 27 / 12 / 2017): 38.508 referring to assumptions and 31.789 related to transformations indefinitely. The number of incentive relationships is equal to 6,9% of the total number of open-ended contracts activated.

THE CONSISTENCY OF WORKING RELATIONSHIPS

In the period January-July 2018, in the private sector, there is a balance, between assumptions and terminations, equal to + 1.037.000, lower than that of the corresponding period of 2017 (+ 1.098.000).

On an annual basis, the balance makes it possible to measure the trend change in employment positions. The annualized balance (i.e. the difference between hirings and terminations in the last twelve months) in July 2018 was positive and equal to +404.000, down from that recorded in June (+419.000). The trend change in permanent employment relationships is negative (-5.000), although it continues to improve. This improvement is mainly driven by the good trend in the transformation of fixed-term contracts into permanent contracts. Starting from March, signs of a reduction in the turnover of permanent contracts emerge: both hires and, even more so, terminations are decreasing.

Positive changes in the stock of administration and apprenticeship reports; the annualized balances of fixed-term, seasonal and intermittent relationships were still significantly positive, albeit downwards.

OCCASIONAL WORK

The consistency of workers employed in Occasional Contracting (CPO), in July 2018 stood at around 20.000 units; the average monthly gross amount of their actual remuneration is equal to about 270 euro.

As for the workers paid for with the Family Book (LF) titles, in July 2018 are about 6.800 workers employed; the average monthly gross amount of their actual remuneration is equal to about 330 euro.
