IVS 2019 - Industrial Valve Summit: the most important international event dedicated to industrial valves is back

The press conference for the presentation of the third edition of IVS - Industrial Valve Summit, the most important international event dedicated to industrial valve technologies and flow control solutions, promoted by Confindustria Bergamo and Ente Fiera, took place today in Milan at Palazzo delle Stelline. Promoberg, which will take place in Bergamo on 22 and 23 May 2019.

After the successes of the two previous editions, Industrial Valve Summit returns as a champion of the value of Made in Italy, bringing in evidence and putting at the system skills, resources and know-how unique in the world. The international event confirms itself as an instrument of promotion both of the excellence of national industrial production and of the local Lombard economy, considering the constant growth of the induced during the days of the fair.

After 3500 attendees at the first edition in 2015, and around 8000 at the second, dated 2017, IVS aims for a third show that is even richer in terms of visitors, exhibitors, events, conferences and networking opportunities. The exhibition area will welcome more than 250 exhibitors covering an area of ​​10.000 square meters and approximately 10.000 visitors are expected from 5 continents and over 60 countries around the world.

The national sector of Oil & Gas valves records a higher value than that of the other large European production areas, confirming itself as an international reference point. The official data were reported in the research that Industrial Valve Summit commissioned to Prometeia - a leading company in studies for institutional investors - on Oil & Gas valves and which were presented at the conference today: the value of the reference market is around 3.3 billion euros, with a total of approximately 11.000 employees divided among over 300 companies. The “Made in Italy” is therefore the leader with 31% of the total on European production, followed by Germany (26%), United Kingdom (13%) and France (11%).

The strong export vocation, which represents about 90% of the sector's turnover, is balanced by a deep-rooted presence in the area, in particular that of Bergamo, where over 100% of Italian production resides within a radius of 90 km. Furthermore, Italian manufacturers of industrial valves and flow control solutions for Oil & Gas are at the forefront of the national mechanical manufacturing scene thanks to the high technological added value and numerous investments in research and development.

At today's presentation, the General Secretary of Ente Fiera Promoberg, Luigi Trigona, and the Vice President of Confindustria Bergamo, Giovanna Ricuperati, spoke to talk about the third edition of Industrial Valve Summit. Together with them, various personalities in the sector brought their contribution to the debate such as Enrico Barbieri (ICE - Head of the Central North Regions), Giuseppe Schirone (Prometeia), Luca Pandolfi (Project Manager IVS), Marco Ghilardi (Scientific Committee IVS / ValveCampus ), Filippo Codara (Vice President Assafrica) and Carlo Banfi (Vice President ANIMA Confindustria Meccanica Varia).
