Leonardo: concrete measures for Genoa and company employees

Leonardo concretely demonstrates his commitment to the city of Genoa, which was hit hard last August 14 by the collapse of the Morandi bridge. This morning, the Managing Director, Alessandro Profumo, in more and separate meetings with various institutions - including the President of the Liguria Region, Giovanni Toti, the Mayor Marco Bucci, the representatives of the Genoese Curia -, managers and corporate employees, illustrated the actions already shared with the trade unions to give prompt answers to the needs of the workers and the business initiatives that confirm the company's commitment in the Genoa and Liguria area.

“Leonardo, a historic industrial presence in the city of Genoa, provides a tangible response to the emergency that has hit the Ligurian capital with some precise interventions that aim to facilitate working conditions and intervene with direct actions in favor of the community. Furthermore, our technological skills were made available for the supervision and surveillance of critical areas ”, commented Alessandro Profumo.

At the end of the meeting with a delegation of the management and the RSU, the managing director spoke directly to the employees in the Genoa plant - about 1.770 - which together with other sites exceed the 2.760 units in Liguria. In addition to the message of closeness, the measures prepared and aimed at limiting the inconvenience suffered by employees were presented and the commitment for the further development of Leonardo in the area was confirmed.

More in detail, the first measure concerns the extension of the duration of the daily time flexibility band for all workers, regardless of the level of employment, and the simultaneous advance of entry time. The second consists in the application of smart-working for employees residing in municipalities with a medium / high degree of discomfort. The collapse of the Morandi bridge, while not directly involving the company plants, located outside the perimeter of the red zone, is in fact having serious repercussions on the entire road system of the Ligurian capital, with consequent significant expansion of travel times to and from. the place of work. Leonardo undertakes to evaluate additional tools that may be useful or necessary in the face of the possible prolongation of the state of emergency or if there should be changes in the conditions of the mobility of the Genoese node.
