Leonardo confirmed in the Dow Jones Sustainability Indices

Improved position, closer to the best in class compared to 2017

Leonardo was included for the ninth consecutive year in the Dow Jones Sustainability Indices (DJSI). This is an important result that confirms the Group's commitment to integrating sustainability into business strategies and supporting business processes and the ability to innovate.

"Sustainability and innovation are at the base of our Industrial Plan", commented Alessandro Profumo, Leonardo's Managing Director; "The reconfirmation is a satisfaction for all the people of Leonardo, a recognition of what has been done in recent years and an incentive to continuous improvement".

The Chairman, Giovanni De Gennaro, also expressed satisfaction with the result achieved "This recognition reflects Leonardo's commitment to strengthening the model of responsible business management through sustainability-oriented behaviors and processes".

In 2018, Leonardo was among the 8 companies in the Aerospace & Defense sector and one of the 9 companies based in Italy admitted to the DJSI.

The DJSI indices, launched in the 1999, include the company stocks that stand out for excellent results in terms of economic, social and environmental sustainability. The annual review for the admission to the indices is through a rigorous evaluation, carried out by the Swiss asset management company RobecoSAM, based on over 100 applications.
