Leonardo announces that the Board of Directors held today approved the establishment, reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, of the new Division Electronics, with the aim of optimizing the organization of the sector Defense and Security Electronics and adequately address the technological and competitive challenges that characterize a business strategic for Leonardo and in strong growth. This will also allow the achievement of an adequate critical mass and the strengthening of the presence on the reference markets.
This evolution will make it possible to align the organizational model with that of the main ones player market, ensuring a more integrated prospective development.
The current Divisions will be merged in the new Division: Electronics Terrestrial Defence and Naval,Avionics and Space Systems e Defence Systems.
The two business lines will also be transferred to the new division Traffic Control Systems eAutomation belonging to the Division Safety systems and information.
The responsibility of the new Division is entrusted to Norman Bone.
With reference to the press release of 27 September 2018 related to the constitution, to directorship of the CEO, of the Division Cybersecurity, Leonardo also announces that with effect from the 21 January 2019, the responsibility of the aforementioned Division is assigned to Barbara Poggiali.
