MIPAAFT: clarifications on national solidarity fund

To avoid confusion and further misunderstandings, although there have been several meetings with the Regions which should therefore be more than aware, also in their interest, of the dynamics concerning the National Solidarity Fund, with reference to the press release issued by the Ministry of Agriculture food, forestry and tourism, on the decree concerning the allocation of resources to be allocated to the regions for companies damaged by bad weather, it should be noted that the sums indicated have been distributed in the face of events recognized as exceptional with decrees issued pursuant to legislative decree no. . 102/2004, in the period from 4 December 2017 to 28 November 2018. These are the 2018 availability of the National Solidarity Fund - compensatory interventions that must be committed by the end of the current year.
The events included in the aforementioned division do not include the recent adversities that have affected the national territory since 28 October last since, also taking into account the short period of time that has elapsed, the regions concerned have not yet submitted a request within the terms established by the legislation overcall; however this Administration, in the light of the gravity of the damages suffered by the agricultural, fishing and aquaculture and forestry sectors, promptly took action and contributed to the drafting of a first Civil Protection Ordinance for the agricultural sector.
A survey of the damages was then immediately launched with the Regions, also preparatory to the presentation of the request for activation of the European Union solidarity fund, with which it will be possible to financially integrate the endowment of the Civil Protection Ordinance for the construction of some activities foreseen by the same, such as for example the restoration of infrastructures and services, the construction of accommodation structures to satisfy the immediate needs of the rural population as well, the immediate cleaning of damaged areas, including natural areas.
The protests, not founded in substance, on a substantially ordinary process, carried out in recent months, shared with the Regions involved and which had the agreement of the State-Regions Conference, therefore cause perplexity.
