Authorized 49 millions of payments in favor of farmers who have underwritten reduced insurance policies. The sum is added to the contributions already paid, for a total expense of 264 million euros. As for the further development of the payment program, it is expected to provide 92 million euros by September, 69 million by October, 50 million by November and 33 million by December.
“The question of late payments on insurance - said Minister Gian Marco Centinaio - was one of the most delicate that I have found on my table since my inauguration. I am therefore satisfied that the simplifications decided in recent days by a task force coordinated by my Cabinet are producing concrete results ”.
The accumulated delays were in fact putting in difficulty the whole system of collective defense bodies, which in these years has anticipated the expenditure on behalf of farmers, avoiding negative repercussions on the companies. To simplify the whole, several simplifications have been introduced. Among these, the simplification of the procedures for checking yields, the possibility of making partial payments on the questions under review, the possibility of carrying out the investigation of the applications, the admission to support and the simultaneous presentation of the payment request. Further simplifications will be adopted for the 2019.
