Di Berardino: "First intervention of 20 million to improve youth training and promote work"

The President of the Lazio Region, Nicola Zingaretti presented at the Sapienza University, the "Pact for new skillsa tool strongly wanted by the Region for encourage the development of new professional skills in line with the training and professional needs required by the labor market and able to do growing employment, but also the productivity competitiveness of companies according to the new development model outlined by European planning and the PNRR.
The event was attended by the councilor for Labor and New Rights, School and Training of the Lazio Region, Claudio Di Bernardino.

The objective of the Covenant is favor the meeting between demand and offer of work, anticipate training needs in response to specific business needs, digitize the system at the basis of professional updating and adaptation throughout the life of the worker, implement the regional system for the identification, validation and certification of skills.

"There are many jobs that are disappearing, but there are so many that will come and we don't want to wait, leaving people in fear of uncertainty and poverty. This is why we have made this Pact with universities, businesses and the trade union. We want to coordinate more and direct university technical training towards all those new professions that the market is looking for.a", Said the President of the Lazio Region, Nicola Zingaretti presenting the Pact.

"This is a pact for new skills, in line with the guidelines of strategic planning - said Claudio di Berardino, councilor for Labor and New Rights of the Lazio Region - it must represent the compass to favor quality and dignified work with companies. and institutions in tune with the social and territorial context. This is why we finance the first intervention of 20 million euros, which will be followed by other resources. We want to meet a cross between job supply and demand that is emerging strongly today. Young people ask us for work and businesses to work. This is why the issue of skills is once again central, in line with the training needs of the market ", added the councilor for Labor and New Rights, School and Training of the Lazio Region, Claudio Di Bernardino.

For this the Region has fielded some tools as: the catalog of the training offer, a computerized and structured tool, through which to govern the operational planning, management and implementation of the training opportunities offered by the Lazio Region; the so-called Survey digital useful to bring out new "skills", which integrate specific technical knowledge, such as the Lazio Cybersecurity School born thanks to a protocol signed by the Lazio Region and the National Cybersecurity Agency to train new professionals.

To these are added interventions of continuous and permanent formation, through the Academies, schools of excellence with high technological specialization that have proven to be particularly successful both for students, who acquire a wealth of knowledge and high-level skills that can be immediately spent on the job market, and for companies that are able to satisfy the need for personnel with particular professional profiles and finally the electronic file of the worker, a sort of essential document for the transparency of the skills and information kit of the person's educational and training paths and working periods.

Il Pact for New Skills is part of the Protocol of Active Labor Policies signed by the Lazio Region with the Social Partners and, in addition to the participation of the latter, it has seen the collaboration of various subjects: Unioncamere Lazio, the Regional Committee of the Universities of Lazio and the Regional School Office .
