"Robbed Cheese" Anti-Drug Operation

The Ravenna State Police carried out 11 precautionary measures (8 in prison, 1 obligation to reside in the province and 2 obligation to present to the prosecutor) issued by the investigating judge at the Court of Ravenna at the request of the Public Prosecutor's Office against as many subjects, responsible for trafficking and drug dealing.

The policemen of the Ravenna Mobile Squad, assisted by crews from the Emilia Romagna Eastern Crime Prevention Department and by drug-related dog units, carried out the restrictive measures in the provincial territory, concluding a Ravenna investigation that dismantled a widespread drug dealer network placed in be from an articulated partnership made up of people of Italian and Albanian origin active in Romagna.

The operation, called "Robbed Cheese", saw the involvement of 50 policemen carrying out numerous searches of homes and commercial activities of the persons receiving the precautionary measure.

The investigations, in the operational phases, had already led a total of 16 people to be referred to the MA, 11 of whom were arrested in the act of a crime, believed to be involved in drug trafficking, to the total seizure of large quantities of drugs, in particular 8 kg of cocaine and 15 kg of marijuana, in addition to a pistol with its ammunition, as well as 130 thousand euros in cash and a car for confiscation purposes.
