SACE (CDP Group) for Pmi: Padua FuturaSun exports photovoltaic modules to Uganda

Africa is a market that has a strong potential for Italian SMEs. With the support of SACE, present on the Continent with offices in Johannesburg and Nairobi, FuturaSun has in fact exported photovoltaic modules in Uganda to the value of 120.000 euro.

SACE's involvement, together with SIMEST, is the CDP Group's export and internationalization pole, has allowed FuturaSun to offer the Ugandan client with competitive payment delays, securing the risk of non-payment for commercial causes and politics.

The company Cittadella (PD) operates in the heart of the Venetian photovoltaic district of 2008 and specializes in the production of highly performing photovoltaic panels, which are sold in Italy and abroad (Latin America, Asia and other countries of Africa). FuturaSun was the first manufacturer of photovoltaic modules to have achieved certification in Europe for the new international IEC 61215 standards: 2016, issued in March 2016.

The operation confirms SACE and SIMEST's commitment to SMEs in the Veneto region, where in 2016 - through the offices in Venice and Verona - they supported over 3.000 companies by mobilizing resources for 2,2 billion euros. Italian exports to Uganda reached 2016 million euros in 63, up 42% compared to the previous year. The leading sector, with a 35% share, is mechanical engineering, followed by wood products (30%). Among the sectors with the greatest opportunities for Italian companies in the coming years we find, in addition to the energy sector, also instrumental mechanics, construction and infrastructure.
