12 million arrive for the expansion of the training offer. Notices for schools have been published. New criteria are foreseen for the assignment and evaluation of projects

The action of the Ministry of Education continues to promote the enhancement of the learning of female students and, at the same time, to expand the educational offer of schools, guaranteeing greater opportunities for girls and boys throughout the national territory. To this end, 12 notices have been published today, for a total of 12 million, addressed to educational institutions to activate projects and initiatives related to the Plan 'School regeneration' for the dissemination of the culture of sustainability, orientation, increasing the offer of physical activities and much more.

The projects must be innovative and favor the educational success of all pupils, with particular attention to conditions of hardship, full participation in the school life of students and families, combating bullying and protecting the environment.

Today's calls continue a line of funding already launched this summer to enhance learning and recover the sociability of female students and students penalized by the pandemic. In particular, last August the Ministry experimented with a new method of identifying projects and proposing subjects, publishing a notice dedicated exclusively to Third Sector Entities, with an allocation of resources equal to 5 million euros, aimed at co-planning of nationally relevant initiatives aimed at educational institutions relating to various issues (contrasting the mafia and legality, inclusion, promotion of the internationalization of training courses and more).

The 12 notices (2 of which are intended exclusively for Professional Adult Education Centers) published today are intended directly for schools and concern the following areas:

  • expansion of the training offer on various issues such as early school leaving, orientation, the fight against bullying, national and international recurrences, health and road education (€ 2,76 million);
  • sustainability and ecological transition (2 million euros);
  • promotion of physical activity and sports (1,5 million euros);
  • enhancement of language skills (850 thousand euros);
  • guarantee of the skills of the adult population (850 thousand euros);
  • school orientation and motivation (850 thousand euros);
  • strengthening of logical-mathematical skills (850 thousand euros);
  • strengthening of branches for autism and establishment of new ones (850 thousand euros);
  • choral practice (680 thousand euros);
  • strengthening of the Regional Research, Experimentation and Development Centers for adult education (420 thousand euros);
  • promotion of multilingual pedagogical innovation (160 thousand euros);
  • support for the digital transition (200 thousand euros).

In this year's notices, evaluation criteria were introduced aimed at enhancing the quality of the interventions proposed by educational institutions, as well as the potential benefits in terms of impact on the education system. Particular attention was paid to the need to ensure the principle of rotation of the schools awarded the funding in question, providing for the attribution of a specific score in favor of schools that did not have access, in the previous three years, to project activities financed by on the funds intended for the expansion of the training offer.

Another new element is represented by the evaluation of the various project activities carried out by the educational institutions through the involvement of the National Institute of Documentation, Innovation and Educational Research. The basic objective is to verify the possibility of extending the initiatives tested by the single school to the entire education system, in a logic of disseminating experiences and sharing knowledge.

The project proposals by the schools must be completed by 15 November 2021. A functional timeframe was therefore granted both to the elaboration of the proposal and to allow the correct and structured involvement of any public and private partners through the administrative procedures provided for by the legislation. current.

The Ministry will offer assistance to educational institutions through the usual channels of the Accounting Administrative Help Desk (for organizational, administrative and management problems) and of the Service Desk (for technical problems).
