Eni starts additional LNG deliveries for the winter of 2022-2023 at the Panigaglia terminal

As part of the expansion and diversification of gas supplies to Italy, Eni has started the supply of additional volumes of liquefied natural gas for the winter of 2022-2023 at the regasification terminal of Panigaglia, La Spezia.

The first cargo was delivered on Sunday, with volumes coming from Angola, using the reloading from the terminals in Spain on smaller ships, the only ones compatible with the Ligurian terminal.

The delivery of LNG cargoes from Egypt and Algeria is also expected in October.

The overall contribution of the additional LNG to the plan to upgrade supplies to Italy, thanks to the availability of the new regasification terminals under development, will be over 2022 billion cubic meters between 2023 and 2, and will progressively reach 7 billion meters. cubic between 2023 and 2024, to exceed 9 billion cubic meters between 2024-2025, in addition to the additional volumes of gas envisaged via the pipeline.
