Eni: coronavirus, agreement signed with service station operators' unions to contain market difficulties and guarantee service continuity

Eni has signed an agreement with the trade union organizations of the operators of its network of service stations to implement a series of measures aimed at containing the market difficulties deriving from the impact of the coronavirus, and guaranteeing the continuity of the supply of an essential service for the Country.

These measures include, depending on the payment methods for supplies adopted by the individual operators, the granting by Eni of deferred payments and the reduction of the minimum quantities of fuel that can be ordered. The agreement also offers managers holding contracts relating to so-called "non-oil" activities the suspension of payments of the amounts contractually agreed by way of rents and leases for the months of March and April 2020.

In addition, among the other agreed measures, Eni guarantees some financial support interventions such as the reimbursement of the costs incurred by the managers for the purchase of primary health care, a contribution in favor of the managers affected by the coronavirus and the recognition of the monetary incentive on the Premium product sales. Finally, Eni expresses its willingness to evaluate, in agreement with Unione Petrolifera and more generally with the main market operators, a coordinated action that allows the entire sector of road fuel distribution and the definition of different plant opening times. , both the opening and shift of the same, so as to guarantee the public service and at the same time protect the health of the workers in charge of the points of sale.
