The agreement between Eni and the International Cooperation Center of the National Development and Reform Commission (ICC-NDRC) promotes collaboration between Eni and Chinese energy players.

In the last few hours, the General Manager of the International Cooperation Center of the National Development and Reform Commission, Dr Huang Yong, and the CEO of Eni, Claudio Descalzi, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on energy cooperation in the presence of the Ambassador Italian in China, Luca Ferrari, on the occasion of the Italy-China Government Committee.

The MoU, signed by Huanh Yong at the Italian Embassy in Beijing, establishes a cooperation framework aimed at fostering joint initiatives between Eni and Chinese counterparts along the entire energy value chain in China and internationally. This partnership allows Eni and ICC-NDRC to share knowledge and best practices, assess the impact of energy policies and market regulations, identify areas of common interest and develop relationships with Chinese institutions and companies at national, provincial and municipal.

In light of the common goal of sustainable development and energy transition towards decarbonisation, the Parties will explore potential opportunities for collaboration by focusing on low carbon energy sources, advanced technologies and circular economy initiatives.

Eni has been present in China since 1984 and has recently opened a new Representative Office in Beijing.
