Eni gas e luce and Hyundai have signed an agreement for the development of electric mobility in Italy with the aim of expanding the range of solutions for charging electric cars and promoting energy efficiency.

Thanks to this agreement, Hyundai dealers will be able to offer their customers the purchase and installation of wallboxes or charging columns of various sizes and power from the Eni gas and electricity E-Start range. The offer is aimed at individuals and companies, who will also have the possibility to choose customized energy supplies according to their needs. In addition, Hyundai's client companies will have the opportunity to combine charging solutions for electric vehicles with energy efficiency interventions that will allow them to improve energy performance without initial investments or management costs for the customer. Hyundai will also be able to install electric charging stations, photovoltaic panels at its dealerships and adopt Eni's gas and light energy efficiency solutions.

This initiative is part of Eni's energy transition strategy, which by 2050 will be a leader in the production and sale of fully decarbonised products.

The agreement is part of Eni's gas and light initiatives for the development of the electric mobility sector in Italy: in 2019 it made its debut in the electric mobility market with E-Start, the range of charging products for electric vehicles designed for residential and business customers. In August 2021 it signed an agreement that provides for the acquisition of Be Power which, through the subsidiary Be Charge, is the second largest Italian operator with over 5 charging points for electric vehicles on public land.
