Eni: Nigeria proceeding, end of an unmotivated and disconcerting legal case

Eni has learned with great satisfaction of the waiver of the appeal by the Attorney General, pronounced before the II section of the Court of Appeal of Milan, which, taking note of it, sanctioned the end of the unjustified and disconcerting criminal judicial case relating to the OPL concession. 245 in Nigeria.

The waiver determines that the acquittals already pronounced in March 2021 by Eni and its managers have become final, becoming final.

After more than 8 years of investigations and judicial proceedings, causes of very high costs and serious and unjust reputational consequences for the company and its management, the Justice has completed its course by definitively confirming the full acquittal because "the fact does not exist" .
