Eni joins forces with Red Rock Power for offshore wind development in Scotland

Eni and Red Rock Power, a Scottish company leader in the development of offshore wind projects, have formed a partnership (Eni 50% and Red Rock Power Limited 50%) in view of the joint participation in the next offshore wind tender in Scotland, ScotWind. The two companies also avail themselves of the support of Transmission Investment, a company active in the electricity transmission sector in the UK. Eni and Red Rock Power will also evaluate future opportunities in renewables in Scotland and will combine their expertise in the development of offshore wind farms, in order to support the energy transition and the achievement of the “zero emissions” target in the UK.

In particular, future offshore wind projects will foster local industry growth opportunities and the development of new technologies, contributing to both the decarbonisation of the North Sea and the transfer of skills to the renewable energy sector.
