The specialists of the 5 ° regiment genius spoilers, stationed in Macomer, reached the site of the intervention with personnel and earth-moving machinery, in competition with the Civil Protection units already present on site. Today an HH-412 helicopter of the 21st "Orsa Maggiore" detachment of the Army Aviation (AVES) flew over the disaster area for an aerial reconnaissance, aimed at assessing the damage caused by the heavy rainfall, while additional teams belonging to the Public Calamity nucleus of the 152nd “Sassari” regiment have reached the place to reinforce the assets already deployed in the evacuation activities.
In a few hours from the beginning of the operations, the soldiers of the Army and the Fire Brigade recovered over 400 cubic meters of mud and debris from the central area of the Municipality of Bitti.
